Pirl Experimental · My Vision

Education that
keeps evolving.

I believe education should be practical, engaging, challenging, and deeply human.

It should help people build knowledge, confidence, curiosity, independence, and the ability to solve problems they have not seen before.

Curiosity belongs beyond the classroom, too.

01 / The possibilities

Bigger than
one classroom.

My vision for Pirl Experimental is broader than any one classroom, program, or service. I want to create meaningful learning experiences wherever they are needed—whether that means helping a teacher rethink a lesson, tutoring a student through a difficult concept, helping a parent better support a child, designing a hands-on science experience, building a STEM program, or creating something entirely new.

At the center of that work is a simple belief: people learn best when they are supported, challenged appropriately, and given opportunities to actively engage with ideas. Learning can happen through a conversation, an experiment, a project, a field experience, a game, a well-designed resource, or simply the right explanation at the right moment.

02 / The experience

Serious learning.
Room for joy.

I also believe some of the most meaningful learning happens when the usual boundaries begin to disappear. Learning can be serious without feeling rigid, challenging without being discouraging, and purposeful while still being genuinely enjoyable.

Curiosity, confidence, creativity, and knowledge reinforce one another, and the best educational experiences often develop several of them at the same time.

Whether learning happens in a classroom or somewhere entirely different matters less to me than whether people leave the experience knowing more, wondering more, and feeling more capable than when they began.

03 / The direction

Thoughtful work.
Always evolving.

Pirl Experimental exists to explore those possibilities.

The long-term vision is to build an organization that can support students, families, educators, schools, and communities in different ways while remaining grounded in the same principles: curiosity, thoughtful experimentation, practical problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

I do not believe there is one perfect way to teach, learn, or design an educational experience. I believe we should understand the people in front of us, identify what they need, create something thoughtful, see how it works, and continue making it better.

That is the kind of education
I want to help build.
